Barlows Builds On Strong Relationship With JJB
Leading Sheffield based project management company, Barlows, has been awarded a £1.9 million contract by JJB Sports for the creation of its new Mansfield fitness club.
This latest deal follows the highly successful partnership between the two organisations earlier this year, when Barlows completed a similar project in Northampton four weeks ahead of schedule.
JJB, which is expanding its portfolio of fitness clubs across the UK, initially timetabled 16 weeks for the project. However, with its effective off and on-site planning, implementing ‘lean’ principles, and ensuring efficient use of time and resources, Barlows plans to complete the project with weeks to spare. This will enable the club to be open to its members in record time.
Work starts on the new club on August 16th. This unique dual concept facility will provide members with a well-equipped gym facility alongside a sports superstore providing a combined leisure and retail experience. Facilities include a superb swimming pool, relaxing hot spa and aromatic steam rooms, air-conditioned fitness suite, aerobics studio, large free weights areas and spacious changing facilities.
