Steve Judge Wins Silver Medal For GB In European Paratriathlon

Barlows would like to congratulate Steve Judge, Health & Safety Co-ordinator, on winning a silver medal for Great Britain in the ETU European Paratriathlon Championships in Athlone- Ireland.

Over the past 5 years British Triathlon has worked tirelessly to create a sport which could be as inclusive as possible to people with all ranges of disabilities, and this led to the National Paratriathlon Programme.

On 26th April 2002 Steve was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in a partial amputation of his right leg and severe nerve damage to his left. Steve hasn’t allowed the terrible injuries he incurred, to halt his determination to be active in competitive sports and after many years of rehabilitation, he is finally achieving his goals. Steve said; “I’m ecstatic about the result, getting the European Silver medal is a massive achievement for me and confirms that by visioning your dreams and working hard, you can succeed”

Steve will be competing again for Great Britain in the ITU World Championship on 24th July in Hyde Park. The Barlows team would like to wish him every success in his endeavour to reach a podium position again.
