Steve Judge Wins Gold Medal at Paratriathlon World Championships

Barlows would like to congratulate Steve Judge, Health & Safety Co-ordinator, on winning a Gold medal for Great Britain in the Paratriathlon World Championships at London's Hyde Park.

Over the past 5 years British Triathlon has worked tirelessly to create a sport which could be as inclusive as possible to people with all ranges of disabilities, and this led to the National Paratriathlon Programme.

On 26th April 2002 Steve was involved in a serious car accident that resulted in a partial amputation of his right leg and severe nerve damage to his left. Steve hasn’t allowed the terrible injuries he incurred, to halt his determination to be active in competitive sports and after many years of rehabilitation, he is finally achieving his goals. Steve said; “I’m ecstatic about the result, getting the World Championships Gold Medal is a massive achievement for me and confirms that by envisioning your dreams and working hard, you can succeed”

The Barlows team would like to wish Steve every success at future events in his endeavour to retain his Gold Medal status.
