Sustainability

Barlows is committed to providing its customers with alternative, sustainable materials. Over the past two years it has extensively researched recyclable and sustainable materials that minimise the environmental impact but don’t cost the earth. We are currently working with a number of other organisations to ensure that we provide our customers with the latest environmental alternatives and information; these organisations include Wastefile UK, NISP (National Industrial Symbosis Programme), Sheffield Hallam University and Bangor University.

Barlows aim is to consider renewable energies throughout the Life Cycle Assessment process and seek to keep raw materials uncontaminated by using natural complimenting products wherever possible. By looking at ways of reusing and recycling in a cradle to grave system and, using natural depletion, it is hoped Barlows can assist in the reduction of harmful emissions and eventually eliminate all waste.
